— Frequently Asked

Common questions.

How accurate is the AI diagnosis?

Patch is trained on university-grade turf photos and cross-references your climate zone before suggesting a cause. When it isn't sure, it says so — and points you to a photo it needs instead.

Do I need to know my grass type?

No. Patch can help identify it from a photo, or infer likely candidates from your zip. You can always refine it later in your profile.

Is the plan the same for everyone?

No. Every plan is built from your grass type, soil temp, GDD accumulation, and recent rainfall — and re-anchors when your profile or the weather changes.

What does it cost?

Your first diagnosis is free. After that, Patch offers a subscription for unlimited diagnoses, the living plan, and the Ask Patch chat helper.

Do you sell my photos or location?

No. Photos are stored only long enough to generate your diagnosis. Location is used to pull weather and nothing else.

When is the iOS app launching?

Soon. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment it's live on the App Store.
